Using your mouse you will be able to select and activate the controls located on the Scaler/Timer and GM tube assembly for each experiment. As you select each control(button) on the instrument a message will be highlighted on the screen indicating the function of that button. Before starting any experiment you need to familiarize yourself with each of the following controls:

Power Button - Turn instrument on/off.

Stop Button - Stop counting at any time.

Reset Button - Zero LED readings.

Count Button - Allow Scaler/Timer and GM tube to record radioactivity.

Test Button - Not required for these experiments.

High Voltage Controls - These have been set appropriately for all experiments.

Pre-set Timer - has been set to allow for 1 minute readings.

Pre-set Counter - Not required for these experiments.
